Warning!
Tree llama-induced deaths have risen sharply in the last decade. Do you know to watch out?
Here are some things you should know:
- Tree llamas are brown/tan colored dromedaries with bushy tails.
- Tree llama habitat includes most North American fields which border on forests.
- Adult tree llamas live in nests in the middle of fields.
- Tree llamas are very defensive of their nests. Disturbing them in any way usually results in serious injury, because
- Tree llamas have razor sharp teeth and claws and can run up to 80 km/h.
- Tree llamas got their name (Dromedarius arboreus) because they climb trees and eat branches.
- Tree llama young grow up in separate nests in the relative safety of the forest. The adult tree llamas can sense when their young are endangered and will come running, screaming the terrifying tree llama wail.
- Tree llamas are protected by law. It is illegal to kill, disturb, or chase a tree llama.
Keeping these tips in mind will help you have a much safer camping, hiking, or flashlight tag experience.
